Okay so this is what happened last night with my blog...I wanted to write about how I feel like time is going so fast that I don't seem to be able to keep up...but after writing the blog twice and feeling like I was just whining I decided to skip it...and after deleting the 2nd one I signed out...and didn't realize that I had not deleted the title!!!! Thanks Matt for filling in for me, it was actually what I was feeling but couldn't write!!! From now on YOU can write my blog for me!!!
I got 4 responses from just a title!!! Not too bad!!!
Well it is Sunday again and the race will begin again tomorrow!!! Hope I win!!!
When we die, our headstone will list the date we were born and the date that we left this world...what matters is the dash in between... I want my dash to be significant!

Lydia's Birthday!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYDIA!!!
Molly and I left Anderson at 8:30am on Saturday morning to go to Sacramento for Lydia's party! We got there at about 11am and it was so nice to get to spend some time with the family before the party began! Riley, Drew and Collin arrived at 1pm, (they had been with their Aunt Marcy and family in Old Sacramento, shopping for her birthday!) Family friends arrived and the party began! It was very low key with the kids just playing together and eatting all of the snacks that Lydia had chosen! Dave made the frosting for the cake and frosted it....great job dad! I have to say it is hard to believe that our Lydia is 7 years old already. I recall so clearly the night she was born! She is a sweet little girl and she really seemed to enjoy her day! They go to San Francisco to celebrate with the park group there on Monday morning! The cookies formed into Lydia's name was made by Molly...mmmm!
Riley, Drew and Collin came home with us and we got home just in time for me to attend the Rotary Crab Feed at the fairgrounds!!! MMMMM, Crab!!!

Friday Fun...
So, Molly and I had so much fun today!!! NOT...we sorted and shred 7 large boxes of paperwork from Les' old office...we should have taken a picture of all of the mess but we really just wanted to get through it all!!! It actually was so much that it filled to the top our recycle can and then there was one bag that wouldn't fit in the can so we put it into the garbage...the boxes and all of the other stuff that wasn't shredded are a mountain of garbage! We quit at about 3pm...Molly doesn't like to shred paper any more!!!
Tomorrow we are traveling to Sacramento for Lydia's birthday party!!! She will be 7 years old...that is so hard to believe. Where does the time go? They grow up way too fast!

Grandma...I'm Bored...
When as adults can we ever really be bored??? I know that even if I am feeling a type of bored there is soooo much that needs to be done that it really isn't bored that I am feeling, it is not wanting to do the necessary stuff!!! I would love to be able to think "I am bored" and looking around to see that my world is so completly in order that I REALLY AM BORED!!!! and I can't figure out one thing to change that!!!! Anyway...Molly has just told me that she is bored and this is what came to my mind!!! She doesn't want to read her book or give Daisy a bath for me so I guess she will just have to be bored!!!!

We had a Christmas Program in which Riley read the Christmas Story and Drew and I sang a duet...she stole the show of course! We went to a wedding and then we had a fun Family Christmas time with Jen and girls here!!! Oh and Riley had a field trip to a rest home...Collin stole the show there with his cuteness in his overalls!

Goodbye 2008! HELLO 2009!!!
I have to say that I am happy to say goodbye to 2008!!! Don't get me wrong...I had a lot of great things happen in 08, like our fabulous trip in May, spending time with family and friends throughout the year, getting together and meeting family members from far away, my brother Tim moving here from Rochester NY! BUT...2008 really ended with a very difficult 2 months of hard labor to prep Les' large warehouse for sale. We worked almost daily at the warehouse, skipping Thanksgiving and barely acknowledging Christmas. We were blessed to have so many friends and family come along side of us to help and I really believe we wouldn't have been able to make the deadline without them! Jen sent Molly to stay with us and Melissa took several days out of her schedule to get very dirty with us! Matt surprised us and drove all day on Thanksgiving to do hard labor for 2 days! My parents Floyd and Judy Slack helped haul garbage for 2 days and many tons...My brother Tim helped with garbage and moving stuff for yardsale and storage... Teresa, Tina & Eric Sorenson spent many hours at the warehouse (some even when we weren't there!) Kim and Preston Faires, Vern, Gerry, Ray,James, Rocky, Tammy, all came and spent many hours helping us with this impossibly long and difficult job. Then there were those who helped out in other ways to make my life a little easier...Anita who helped me with Melissa's kids a couple of days and Karen who was so wonderful to help us out with Daisy...she came and picked her up one day and another day gave her a bath for me (she looked like a junk yard dog!!!) We will never be able to tell you how much we appreciate the help. I had several times when I would be at my wits end and someone would come along side and give me support or encouragement and I would be able to keep going!
The building was completely empty on Monday, Dec 29th, we signed the papers on Dec 30th and the sale was recorded on Dec 31st!!! YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
I am looking forward to not being dirty everyday and being able to get back to our regular hectic schedule! I am going to be so happy to have time and energy to do my blog again! I even look forward to going back to Curves again and getting into my excersize schedule again (did I really type that?) Molly is going to stay for a while and help me go through many boxes of paperwork that need to be sorted and much of it shredded...She has been amazing and we are really enjoying having her here with us!
I want to wish all of you a very happy and blessed new year.
One more thing...We will be welcoming a new grandson into the family in mid April! Jen gave Dave a video of the sonogram on Christmas morning and he called to tell me!! Collin will have a playmate!!!

The First Post in Ages!!!
Yes I really am adding a new post to my blog...I know that some of you thought that would happen again!!!
Since November 1, it has seemed as though life has become a forced march. All I seem to think about is how I can get the warehouse empty in the most efficient way...
We have had 3 days of sales which helped tremendously...I have felt so blessed with all of the friends who have offered to help us,(I really don't think they know what they are agreeing to!).
So far we have had 4 trips to the dump, two trips to the place that takes unpainted wood.
We have had help from the Sorenson Family, Kim, Preston, Anita, My parents, My brother Tim, Melissa, and Matt. Yes, Matt came on Thanksgiving day. He drove for the whole day and surprised us completely!!! He stayed for Friday and Saturday and then drove all day on Sunday so that he could go to work on Monday...
Molly our 14 year old grand daughter came a few weeks ago and has been working with out much complaint ever since. She has been such a blessing to me and I don't think I could have done it without her! She was amazing tonight when we had to empty the big box truck into the shop building (just her and I) We are women, hear us roar!!! We treated ourselves to taco bell for dinner.
Tomorrow is another garbage day! It will be interesting to see how much it all weighs!!! My parents took 1000 lbs to the dump yesterday for me! It has to be at least 3-4 times more at the warehouse....
Thanks to all of you who are being such emotional support for me! You know who you are!!!
We will be so relieved when January comes and hopefully this is all over. Who knows if I will be able to blog again until then!
